Announcing Accelerate: A Go-To-Market Bootcamp for Founders in NYC

We’re excited to announce that Bowery Capital and Silicon Valley Bank are now accepting applications from startups for the inaugural season of a free go-to-market bootcamp called Accelerate. Accelerate will cover sales, marketing, hiring, and pitching VCs in a weekly workshop environment. It will take place in New York, NY from July — August 2019.

WHY [apply]

After working with hundreds of startups in NYC on their go-to-market strategies, the teams at SVB and Bowery Capital have found that there is always room for revenue generating operations to be optimized. Additionally, according to this research, “in 2010 only 9% of seed-funded companies were generating revenue. Today, over half of them are”, and that’s especially true in the world of B2B SaaS, which is only getting more competitive. Whether it’s navigating your first five enterprise contracts and their laundry list of requirements, hiring and ramping AEs/SDRs, building out a partnership strategy, or simply building a repeatable process that employees, investors, and customers alike believe in, we have seen what works and what doesn’t work. As a result of this, we decided to put these lessons into one cohesive bootcamp to help pre-seed B2B companies get the revenue traction they need to raise seed and series A rounds.

WHO [should apply]

Accelerate is for pre-seed B2B founders. We are looking for B2B founders and leaders who are currently focused on their go-to-market strategy, and are excited to both learn and share learnings with their peers in a workshop environment.

WHAT [is Accelerate]

Accelerate will consist of eight 90 minute sessions packed with tactical lectures on go-to-market strategy. We will cover topics like: how to build you first sales playbook, spinning up your hiring and talent engine, building your all-things-business tech stack, and how to pitch VCs for your seed round. This is also an opportunity to network with 15 top pre-seed founders, Bowery Capital’s investment team, SVB’s enterprise sector team, and sales leaders from the NYC enterprise community.

2.) Final decisions for this cohort will be sent out on June 17th.
3.) Workshops will be held at SVB (28th and Park) every Tuesday from 5–7pm from July 9th to August 27th.

Andrew Oddo
Andrew is the Director of Growth at Bowery Capital based in New York. He works directly with our founders to implement strategies, processes, and internal technology to enable their early sales, marketing, and customer success efforts. Prior to joining Bowery Capital, Andrew was the Director of Sales at CrowdTangle where he scaled sales and operations leading up to their acquisition by Facebook in 2016. Previously Andrew was at Chartbeat as a sales engineer and strategic account executive, growing relationships with clients like the BBC, Gannett, and NY Times. Andrew concentrated in marketing and finance as an undergrad at Boston College.
