Acceleration Team: NYC or Bay Area

The Director of Growth position is responsible for accelerating top-line growth for Bowery Capital portfolio companies through various methods including sales operations, market segmentation, value proposition mapping, packaging & pricing, customer insights, channel partner programs, new market entry and go-to-market strategy. Your job will include advising portfolio companies on process, systems, and growth around their sales, marketing, and customer success organizations. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work in a hands-on capacity with companies, effectively being their go to person for building out the initial sales, marketing, and customer success infrastructure. This position is based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY.


Job Description:


Bowery Capital is hiring a Director of Growth. Given our focused approach of adding value within the revenue generation components of a software business, our companies primarily ask us for help setting up process and systems around sales operations, marketing infrastructure, and customer success infrastructure. You are ideally an entrepreneurial-minded person who works in a sales, marketing, or customer success role at a software company. You are intellectually curious about the B2B SaaS ecosystem and are excited by the opportunity to be a key member of a Venture Capital fund that is laser-focused on investing in companies that are changing the way software is disrupting legacy industries.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with Bowery Capital founders to set up and build out initial sales, marketing, and customer success infrastructure. Bowery Capital works within an existing playbook of “must haves” for portfolio companies. Your job will be to execute on that while also augmenting the existing processes and systems we build.

  • Consult and advise portfolio companies to drive collaboration among sales, marketing and customer success teams ensuring shared learnings and shared growth.

  • Design, develop, and deliver sales, marketing, and customer success programs, tools, training, coaching and advisory services to portfolio companies on an ongoing basis.

  • Work collaboratively with the Acceleration team as well as the Investment Team to drive the Bowery Capital business forward.

  • Engage in the broader Bowery Capital brand and community efforts including but not limited to blogging, hosting podcasts, running events and brown bag sessions with founders and revenue leaders.


Requirements:


  • Demonstrable experience growing and scaling software companies specifically in a particular discipline of sales, marketing, or customer success.

  • Tech-savvy and an ability to quickly learn our internal technology and systems.

  • Facility with Salesforce (CRM) and experience working within environments where data hygiene is important. Possession of certifications around inbound or CRM are a plus.

  • Superior communications and presentation skills.
