AllSpice is a modern collaboration platform for hardware engineers. Inspired by software development principles, the platform aims to build the hardware development ecosystem of the future, where data, transparency, and automation enable agile design and ease for engineers.
Who?
AllSpice was started by Valentina Ratner and Kyle Dumont through the Harvard Innovation Labs. Valentina is an experienced engineer and former Amazon Product Manager, having managed infrastructure projects and internal productivity software. Kyle has 10 years of experience as an engineer, launching mass-production consumer products. Driven by their passion for the hardware space and big-picture mindset, Valentina and Kyle co-founded AllSpice after meeting while completing joint MBAs and Master's at Harvard. After significant diligence on the problem that AllSpice solves, we were compelled to lead the Seed round.
What?
AllSpice is creating a central hub for hardware development teams, enabling engineers to automate their development process and collaborate on their designs in one place. As it sits today, the process is outdated and manual, with most collaboration still done through email and other similar channels. AllSpice reduces collaboration friction and wasted motions for hardware engineers.
Why?
This market is ripe for innovation and we could not be more excited to be working closely with such a strong team. Valentina explained their differentiation: "We take a very developer-driven approach which is something that’s been very established in the software industry for a while, but in hardware, it’s still pretty sales heavy." Combined by the need in the market and the passion of Valentina and Kyle, we are very excited about this opportunity.
