Beyond The SMB: The Rise of Enterprise Grade Vertical SaaS
Bowery has increasingly been turning our attention to what we are calling enterprise grade vertical SaaS (EGVS ). These are industry specific applications that can command low-to-mid five figure ACVs in their earliest days and sell into large organizations with significant existing software budgets. EGVS companies typically have longer sales cycles (think months or quarters, not days or weeks) and will often employ a traditional direct sales motion rather than PLG / self-serve + upsells. We beleive EGVS businesses have many attractive characteristics from our perspective as early-stage investors.
